How long does the procedure take?
Placing the implants takes about 2 to 3 hours. After a healing period of about 3 to 6 months, your permanent teeth are attached.
Is it suitable for everyone?
Most people with enough jawbone are suitable. If there is severe bone loss, bone grafting may be needed. A 3D scan and consultation show what is right for you.
Will I be without teeth while healing?
No. You receive temporary teeth immediately after surgery, so you can eat, speak and smile during the healing period.
Is All-on-6 better than dentures?
Yes, for most patients. Dentures rest on the gums and can move; All-on-6 is fixed in the bone, gives better chewing and clearer speech, and helps preserve the jawbone.
Is it painful?
Treatment is done under local anaesthesia or sedation. Afterwards most patients feel only mild discomfort for a few days, easily managed with normal painkillers.
